Simon and Sandra’s Golden Wedding Anniversary Adventure Starting 1st July 2021?

This was supposed to be a very special year for both of us as we celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary (50 years!) on 6th March and we both turn 70. We had big plans for an extended trip to the US and Canada but those plans had to change due to the Pandemic.

As parts of Canada we were going to visit were not intending to open this year we decided to go ahead with the US portion of the holiday and do the Canadian part in 2022.

However, as both the US and Canada are currently closed to UK residents, it means we will not be jetting off on the 1st July after all and have shifted the whole holiday into 2022. Fingers crossed, starting on 25th May.

I guess we’ll enjoy it even more once we get to go!

Stay safe and see you all in 2022! 😀

  1. Malcolm and Mary – Malcolm worked for LWT. Mary worked for TRL. They live near Camberley in Surrey and did achieve their life long ambition to visit New Zealand. They have two daughters Laura and Hannah and two grandchildren Zach & Safi. Having done the big trip they then went to Canada, which was amazing. Scroll down it’s all here. They have visited Venice that they both so fell in love with in 2009 again. And recently returned to Lefkada for one week in glorious sunshine. Where next? Well, Canada is calling again in 2019; this time including Alaska. So stay tuned if you enjoy the ups and downs of travelling.

Oh! Golly WHAT a disappointment for you both. I guess lots of others are in the same boat.
Yes, fingers crossed for next year and looking forward to it already!!!
We have tried three times to get to Switzerland, to see the grandchildren and each time thwarted.
Somewhere over the rainbow! A plane we fly and take us all where we want to go!
    Stay safe,

  2. I’m sorry to hear Sandra and Si!
Hopefully by 2022 everything will be back to normal and people can travel wherever their hearts desire. I’m sorry that you had to delay yet again! Take care 🙂 Nat xx

  3. Hi S & S
Such a shame you have had to postpone the big trip. Good things go to those who wait as the saying goes. At least you are both fit and healthy after 18 months of Covid doing the rounds. Enjoy Vegas when you get there.
