Our plan this year is to fly into Boston, the capital and largest city in Massachusetts (visited here once before). Founded in 1630, it is one of the oldest cities in the USA and played a key role in the American Revolution and is home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team (we have tickets for a game). Then, on to Woodstock in Vermont for Fall colour, and afterwards we will travel down the country to catch up with some good friends. Firstly, to Palmerton in Pennsylvania to see Natalie, Terry and Ty, then to North Carolina to see Denise and Desiree (those who have followed our previous trips may remember we met up with them last year in Charleston). Our trip to North Carolina will be via Atlantic City and the Outer Banks in North Carolina  (our first visit here) for some sun, sea and sand. We will then be doing a quick visit to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to see the Civil War battlefield before heading to Newark Airport in New Jersey for our flight home.
