We were up and out early this morning determined to find that wildlife. We even decided to forego breakfast! 😳
It was quite chilly this morning and we were once again, treated to low clouds.

Our determination was well rewarded! We decided to drive to the Gros Ventre area (the French for Big Belly!) as people reported seeing moose there yesterday. Sure enough, they were there this morning, bright and early, a little family.

The trees Aspens and Cottonwoods were looking lovely in the sunshine this morning.
Our next port of call was Mormon Row. Again, we got talking to a couple on their first visit to the Tetons and who live in Lake Havusu City in Arizona. That’s where London Bridge is now situated. It is reported that the people who bought the bridge thought they were actually buying Tower Bridge! Must have been a shock when they opened the box and discovered it was the wrong one! 😂
They were both dressed in just shorts and sleeveless tops! Definitely not warm enough. 🥶 They both thought they were still in Arizona! 🌞😂

We went into Jackson for some light refreshment and shopping, after which it was lunch time. We could tell because our tummy’s were rumbling, so stopped off at a great restaurant in Jackson called Local.
Si had a fried fish sandwich with a Caesar salad (that’s got to be a first!), and a beer. 😂He said it was delicious. I just settled for soup with an amaretto sour.
Our waitress was a young lady called Ella. Yet again, it’s a small world. 🌎It so happens that Ella’s Mum is English and was born in Bromley, part of Greater London. Her Mum met a man in New Zealand, who lived in Jackson, she married that man and moved to Jackson after she was married! 🤷♀️Ella visits England every two years and visits her relations in Maidstone, Kent.
We then decided to visit the Elk Refuge, that’s home to elk in the Winter. We were looking for mountain goats but alas, none there today. But we did take a photo of the Miller Cabin.

On the way back we took this photograph of the Teton Glacier. It’s shrinking fast!

It’s been a busy day for sure. 🥱But it is not over yet! This evening we take to the road once more looking for the nocturnal beasts!

A busy day in deed. Glad you got to see some wildlife, can’t believe the number of photographers there, are they all after a photo of a Bear or another particular animal ? Couldn’t see a plane in the Tetons shot, could see a shadowy bit but not sure that was it!! Good to see the Mormon Row Barn is still standing proud. Hope you got to see some night time wildlife (not the photograhers) 📸🫎🤣
